It’s commonly believed in the academic world that Sir Isaac Newton was responsible for developing the mathematics of calculus. This is a lie that has been covered up for nearly half a millennium. I’m here to speak the truth and to expose the Great Newtonian Lie for what it really is: a conspiracy to deny the rightful owners of calculus their due respect.<\/p>\n
It may ease your indignation to\u00a0know that, though we do not credit\u00a0the rightful owners of calculus with\u00a0its development, we do reward\u00a0them financially for their efforts. Of\u00a0course, when I speak of the rightful\u00a0owners of calculus, I am speaking\u00a0of the Brooks\/Cole publishing\u00a0company and their star author,\u00a0James Stewart.<\/p>\n
Stewart, working only with quill and\u00a0ink in his parents\u2019 garage, perfected\u00a0the radical new arena of calculus\u00a0called Edition 5E. 5E is not just any\u00a0college textbook; it is filled with\u00a0new pictures, graphs, sample\u00a0problems, and a riveting new\u00a0preface. The only imperfection in\u00a0this new edition is that Stewart, in\u00a0all his modesty, does not rightfully\u00a0credit himself as the inventor of\u00a0calculus.<\/p>\n
I am not certain of the historical\u00a0evidence for James Stewart\u00a0inventing calculus, but the\u00a0marketplace never lies. I found\u00a0online that Newton’s Principia is free\u00a0to download and print, proving it is a worthless document\u00a0and was most likely plagiarized from Stewart’s work.\u00a0Calculus 5E, however, is a respectable $120 \u2013 used. From\u00a0this price, we can accurately deduce that it is superior in\u00a0form, function, and weight. Calculus is a rapidly evolving\u00a0science: The calculus you learned last year from the Fourth\u00a0Edition is obsolete now, a dead language like Latin or\u00a0Canadian. The only way to keep up with the eternally\u00a0shifting planes of calculus is to accept the Brooks\/Cole\u00a0orthodoxy and purchase a new text each semester, or just\u00a0drop out and give up.<\/p>\n
If you are poor and you cannot afford Stewart’s book, there\u00a0is simply no way for you to learn calculus. You should accept\u00a0that you were born into a lower-class life, and you need not\u00a0burden yourself with education.<\/p>\n
You may be tempted and deceived by so-called\u00a0\u201copen-content\u201d textbooks available on the web. Free,\u00a0open-content textbooks are free and open-content for a\u00a0reason: They are lies; otherwise, they wouldn’t be\u00a0open-content.<\/p>\n
Anyone who would develop a textbook filled with public
\nknowledge and release it to the public at no cost and for no
\npersonal gain is a menace. Knowledge that isn’t paid for in
\ncash is knowledge not worth having. Anyone who openly
\ndisagrees with the preceding statement is merely confessing
\nanti-capitalist, anti-democratic, and anti-American
\nsentiments. The American patriot Sir Isaac Newton knew this
\nwell; that’s why, when he went to college, he was happy to
\nbuck up the $120 for Stewart’s book.<\/p>\n
Also, I didn’t want to say anything, but Osama Bin Laden\u00a0likes open-content textbooks and says James Stewart is the\u00a0Great Satan, so\u2026you know.<\/p>\n
